Set it up once, and it takes care of everything else: verification messages, reminders, and alerts to your trusted contacts when something goes wrong.

Who is it designed for?

For those who live alone
Set up periodic safety checks to ensure that someone notices if you don't respond.
For those who only want to leave information “if necessary”
Messages and files are only sent to your contacts if you confirm that everything is OK.
For concerned family and friends
They only receive alerts when you are late in responding to your verification messages.

How it works in brief

You register

You can register on the app or use your Google account. With a Google account, no password is stored; Google acts as the guarantor.
If you use a Google account, we recommend applying two-factor verification.

Set recipients

First, manage your groups: friends, family, close contacts, work, etc. Then add recipients, specifying their name and email address. For each group, you can specify a “welcome message” so that recipients know that the sender, VITA Alert, represents a link between you and them.

Set verification messages

Up to 10 different types, each with its own sending rules and response times.
Based on the frequency you set, the application sends you an email (when the app is ready, you can choose between email and in-app message). Just open the email and press the button inside.
By setting a “personal message,” you'll know that the message is coming from your account.

If you don't respond, help messages will be sent.

After 6 hours, 24 hours, 7 days, or whatever time you choose, your contacts will receive the messages and files you have selected.
Each message can be customized by group or user.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I accidentally don't reply to the verification message?

You can set up “reminders.”
If you do not reply to the message, after a period of time that you can set as you wish, the application will send you the verification message again.
For example, if the response limit is 24 hours, you can set the application to remind you every 2 hours if you do not reply.

Can I change the recipients of help messages at any time?

Absolutely, you can change the settings at any time.

Are my data and files secure?

Yes, every message is encrypted with your personal password before being saved to the database.
Currently, files are not encrypted. If you have important documents, we recommend encrypting them separately and providing recipients with the password and tools to decrypt them.
After the launch phase, we will also implement “on-the-fly” file encryption, but be careful not to forget it... :-)
The server is located in Italy and meets GDPR requirements.

Do I need to install anything on my phone?

A native iOS and Android app will be available soon. Currently, only the web app is available.
If you don't want to install anything on your phone, the web interface will continue to work.

Can I also use V.I.T.A. Alert for my elderly parents?

Of course, as long as they have a valid email address.
Once configured, they will receive an email or a message on the app (coming soon) to which they will need to respond with a click.

Informazioni sull'applicazione

The idea for this app came about almost as a joke, watching spy movies where there is always someone in mortal danger who is guarding a secret. Then, thinking about it, I realized that there are many people who, even if they don't have any particular secrets, guard personal information that they only want to share in case they are no longer able to keep it safe.


At the moment, this is an “experiment.” The application is in Beta version, although I have tested it myself. It is free, but it will be fully functional within a few weeks.

Since its maintenance has a cost, the goal is to charge users according to the scheme described above. If it works, it will be kept alive.
